There was one true good news story at the end of Chelsea’s season – the return of Ben Chilwell.
It was an almost calculated move by the club to get the left back on the pitch for the final few minutes of the season, to leave fans with a sweet taste in the mouth for the summer.
His training session in the week before the game was even recorded from a first person view, adding weight to the sense that it had an element of PR to the whole thing.
