Two Chelsea players named to be favourites to leave ahead of Timo Werner

Most Chelsea fans want to see the club sign another attacking player this summer, after seeing so many of their options in those positions struggle.

Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson-Odoi… the list of underperformers is a lengthy one. Even Kai Havertz has had long spells of poor play.

But those same fans would also concede that at least one of those players will have to leave if we want room for a replacement.

Fabrizio Romano’s latest column for CaughtOffside revels which of that group may be favourite. Pulisic is going to have a meeting with Chelsea “to discuss his future,” while Ziyech “is considered another player with chances to leave the club.”

If the Blues line up good players to replace them, we can think of plenty of fans who would have no problem with both of them leaving.

Shifting them may be tricky, but both are young enough and have enough time on their contracts to have decent resale value.
