Tuchel’s decisions questioned after he lets another final slip

Well, here we are again, trying to pick the bones out of a disappointing Wembley loss for Chelsea.

Once again we played well, but once again we’re left wondering what could have been after another penalty shootout loss to Liverpool.

One thing that has been called into question immediately following the game were Thomas Tuchel’s subs.

The Blues were really on top at the end of the second half, but let Liverpool take control back and win on penalties. Tuchel made some odd calls – not bringing on Timo Werner, plus taking Ruben Loftus-Cheek on and off again.

The manager has been questioned more and more in recent weeks, and plenty of people have commented that Tuchel is having as much of a bad patch as his players.

On the other hand, the coach has got us to the final of every competition he’s played in with us. What more can he do to prove his quality?

  1. Tuchel’s decisions are highly questionable even more so today in this FA Cup final. . The players were all spot on had the better of the exchanges just as they were in the last Cup final which they happened to löse the very same way – Tuchel’s very questionable decisions. I must say something isn’t quite right with Tuchel. He has løst his zeal. The passion and drive he once showed is áll gone.

  2. I think Lukaku didn’t have q good game tonight
I guessed he could be subbed off after the first 45 minutes of the game and bringing on either timo Warner or Kai
Lukaku’s ability to get himself away from Virgil and Konate is still a problem and he can’t find space to make runs or bring other teammates into the play he’s simply not prolific
I guessed the gaffer should start with Kai or werner
upfront these guys are so good in these kind of games

  3. Not really a manager capable to compete with Guardiola and Klopp. Spent a lots of owner money but no improvement from last season.

  4. Since Tuchel and the wife departed there is frustration here and there I mean there is no peace whatever he does on the pitch.
It’s not easy to forget, it will take him a bit time hope next season while taken a bit rest, he is a great coach and we all love him.
My question is how is he doing at PSG, did he has a similar problem like this? Losing 2 trophies in the hands of a single team, it’s bad but penalty, anything can happen, and the best shooters won, Congrat Liverpool we shall surely meet again.

  5. It was indeed a great match in the history of FA Cup. Taking out a forceful Lukaku especially with a weaker Matip on field was a mistake. All we needed was a speedy werner + ziyech.
