Thomas Tuchel has perfect chance to make interesting changes for final pair of fixtures

Arsenal’s defeat to Newcastle last night has made things very clear for Chelsea.

They’re now in the Champions League regardless of what happens in their remaining fixtures, opening up some unique opportunities for Thomas Tuchel to do some interesting things.

For one, he no longer should be using the players who are leaving this summer. It will be nice for Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to get a send off from the crowd at Stamford Bridge, but it’s important to know what we have on our books to replace them. Trevoh Chalobah should be getting a start, that’s for sure.

Further forward, we’d like to see some youngsters given a chance too – certainly Ruben Loftus-Cheek should get some time, and Ross Barkley may be rewarded for his patience this season too.

Perhaps Lewis Hall, who shone in his cameos back in the Spring, will get another run out?

Whatever happens, we want to see some changes to keep things interesting through these dead rubbers.
