Telegraph: Chelsea’s new owner expected to sign contract today

Today could finally be the day when we as Chelsea fans finally get some clarification on who our new owners will be going forward.

There might not be anything officially confirmed today, but today is the day when Todd Boehly’s consortium are expected to sign the first contract to seal the deal to become the new Chelsea Football Club owners.

EXCLUSIVE: Paul Cannoville’s team meet with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS to speak about their bid for Chelsea!

The Telegraph report that they will now be advanced for UK Government and Premier League approval ahead of an official sale.

Boehly hopes to sign the first contract in a Chelsea takeover worth £4 billion on Friday, with Roman Abramovich preparing to seek formal approval from Government for the deal.

The rest should then fall like dominoes and will just be a matter of signing on the dotted lines and confirming all the admin side.

There have never expected to be any issues from the Government or the Premier League on Boehly’s group, so it will just be a matter of time now before they’re officially in the Chelsea hot seat bar any late dramatic madness, which you can never rule out!

  1. Are you sure he will sign the contract today, if so I’ll be the happiest person on earth, Chelsea for life

  2. I just hope that the new owners of the club will invest more into the academy and build more players up instead of focusing on buying players

  3. Make it happen as early as possible so that they can maintain the club quickly and they can hold some players who want to leave the club
