Tammy Abraham breaks Serie A goalscoring record

Tammy Abraham scored twice for Roma last night, taking his tally to 17 for the season in Serie A.

That makes him the top scoring Englishman in the Italian top flight ever – breaking a record from way back in 1962.

It’s a brilliant effort from Tammy – we knew he would be good, but we didn’t think he would be this good, certainly not right from the start.

It’s another reminder of what we said all along – the club were making a mistake selling him. Even if he wasn’t going to be the best striker in world football, he had shown at every level that he played at that he was a natural goalscorer, and that is an invaluable asset.

Of course the club still have an option to buy him back next summer – the way things are going, we would be mad not to activate it.

The campaign starts now – bring Tammy home.

  1. Let’s not be selfish and allow the boy to grow. Leave him in the GOOD hands of Jose for two more years.

  2. Would love to hear Tuchel explain again his theory on believing Lukaku to be the solution and a must buy to replace Tammy and Olivier. You never change a Winning team – you strenghten it.
