Chelsea didn’t have the best game against Liverpool in the FA Cup final, but there were some solid individual performances, and Jorginho was the pick of the bunch.
The Blues had to really battle to wrest back control of the game after a slow start, and the Italy international was key to that. WhoScored had him as Chelsea’s best player, with an impressive 8.2/10 rating.
In fact, they had him down as the second best player on the pitch, just behind Trent Alexander Arnold who got an 8.3.
His all round game was excellent – he passed the ball well, as always, an he made three tackles in an unusually defensively solid game. The Reds were really putting us under pressure, but Jorginho was equal to it. It might just have been his best game at Chelsea.
And of course he scored his penalty in the shootout – not that it helped his team in the end.
