“It’s more than a chance” – Thomas Tuchel losing his patience after reoccurring theme

It was the same old story for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last night in the 1-1 draw with Leicester, a wave we have rode many times as fans this season and in recent seasons.

Chelsea missed a few easy chances, none more so than Christian Pulisic, who’s miss from just outside the 6-yard box was just awful. Romelu Lukaku missed a couple as well but not so clear-cut.

Sources: Chelsea Interested In signing Moussa Diaby this summer.

But the point is, we, and Thomas Tuchel, have seen this all before. And it sounds like judging from Tuchel’s latest comments, he is finally starting to lose his patients with it.

He says the Pulisic chances was ‘more than a chance’ because it was THAT easy to score. It actually looked harder to miss that one.

It’s not just him though, many of our players have been consistently missing easy chances all season and lack confidence in front of goal. It’s something that needs to drastically change whether that is on the training ground or signing better finishers!

“It’s more than a chance,” Tuchel told BBC Sport when asked about Pulisic’s miss.

“It [should have been] a ‘goal’ actually.

“In matches like this, you have to take these chances, otherwise you maybe let your opponents take the point, and you don’t get what you deserve.

“It’s like a broken record. It happens too often to us.”
