Footage emerged last night of Thiago Silva limping out of Wembley after the FA Cup final, appearing to add to Chelsea’s growing injury list.
Mateo Kovacic was a doubt for the game with a bad ankle after a nasty tackle on him against Leeds in midweek. N’Golo Kante wasn’t fit to start the game, although he did make a sub appearance later on.
Kai Havertz didn’t make an appearance and is likely crocked, and the fact that Timo Werner didn’t get on also indicated that he might have a problem.

Then there is Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who was brought on and then off again – it’s not clear if he had an issue.
Luckily Chelsea have nothing left to play for this season other than the one result they need to secure a top four place, but there’s no doubt that they are really limping to the finish line now, much as Silva limped out of Wembley.
