It’s 1-0 to Chelsea after 45 minutes in their final game of the season, and that means Thomas Tuchel’s Blues team have set an interesting record.
They lead at the end of the first half today, meaning that they’ve gone a full 38 game season without being behind at half time.

It’s a pretty impressive record, but it certainly hasn’t been reflected in the results this season, especially at home where we’ve had a pretty poor run.
Of course it points to our effectiveness early on – but what matters is how many points you have at the end of a game, not what the score is at half time.
Still, given it’s a pretty meaningless game taking place at Stamford Bridge in a season where we will win nothing despite looking like one of the strongest teams in Europe at the start of the season, it’s nice to have this as a little souvenir.
I love working with you guys
