Chelsea player ‘intends to speak’ with Thomas Tuchel and ‘wants to be a key player’ next season

There will be a lot of individual player situations that Thomas Tuchel and the new Chelsea board will need to sort out this summer ahead of what will be a busy period for the decision makers at the club.

Certain players are clearly frustrated with lack of game time, others might just look for a new challenge, but it is clear that many discussions will need to happen over the coming weeks and months to sort some issues out.

The agent of Kalidou Koulibaly is in talks with Chelsea over a summer move.

Romelu Lukaku got a rare start at the weekend and he scored both of Chelsea’s goals in a 2-2 draw with Wolves. He made the penalty for the first goal and provided an excellent finish for the second. But does he have a Chelsea future?

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano believes he still might. He says that Lukaku intends to speak with Tuchel at the end of the season and is is going to tell him he wants to be a key player next season.

“Lukaku intends to speak with Thomas Tuchel at the end of the current season to understand the club’s plans as Romelu wants to be a key player for next season,” Romano wrote on Caught Offside.
