Chelsea player agrees 5-year contract worth €5m-a-season to head to Spain this summer

More news now on players departing Chelsea this summer, and there looks like there will be at the very least, a strong handful of them and maybe even more.

Rumours this morning are linking both Marcos Alonso and club captain Cesar Azpilicueta to moves to Barcelona this summer.

A surgical summer is needed at Chelsea FC!

They may well be joining their current team mate from Chelsea, Andreas Christensen, who has now agreed a 5-year contract worth €5m-a-season to join Barcelona according to AS. Meaning that if all three of these transfers come off, Barcelona will have three of Chelsea’s senior defenders go into their back line this summer!

To be honest I’m not losing sleep over any of these three players leaving Chelsea this summer so it doesn’t really disappoint me. All three have been great servants and Azpilicueta will go down as a club legend. But the time feels right for me now that all three depart.

  1. i fully agree. now tt has a chance to build his own team. was never a fan of alonso or christiansen though it is sad that we’ve lost rudiger

  2. Chelsea now need to buy good and reliable defenders.am sad that Rudiger has gone but I wish him well.

  3. I think the departure of Toni Rudiger will hurt us
The club has to find out ways to make him stay, the team has been so offensive from the back as he pushing forward towards the opposition half. Defensively he’s also a masterclass in that department

  4. They have play their parts and we fans have appreciate them.We are wishing them good luck in their future chosen carrier.
For now they are surplus in Chelsea cuz the stake is high,we need more strong young players who can endure the heat and physicality of English football.
    Thank u.
