Chelsea linked with “revenge” move for Real Madrid right back

It seems like most casual Spanish football fans discovered Reece James after his superb performance against Real Madrid over two legs in this year’s Champions League.

Perhaps they put his good showings in Chelsea’s win last year down to luck, but after he dominated them at the Bernabeu this year, whispers appeared out of nowhere linking the right back with a move to Real.

Chelsea wouldn’t let their star go that easily though, and in fact it seems like they might be aiming for “revenge” according to this article.

If you believe Don Balon – and we wouldn’t recommend it – the Blues are keeping a close eye on Alex Jimenez, a 16 year old right back playing in Madrid’s “La Fabrica” academy – the same academy which produced and then sold Achraf Hakimi not long ago.

Listen, we’ll cut a deal with you Florentino. You keep your hands off Reece, and we’ll let you keep Alex.

Does that sound fair?
