Chelsea bidder hoping to meet supporter groups this week as he aims to stop Boehly

The race to buy Chelsea Football Club is perhaps not as over as we expected it to be after the news from last week.

It was announced that Todd Boehly’s group were named as the preferred bidder for Chelsea, and you were led to believe that it meant that was as good as a done deal now.

A surgical summer is needed at Chelsea FC!

But Sir Jim Ratcliffe has other ideas after making his last ditch offer in the 11th hour last week. As other groups were being ticked off one by one as being unsuccessful with their bids to buy Chelsea, nothing of such has been said about Ratcliffe just yet.

In fact, according to a report from The Athletic today, they are saying he is still pushing and he aims to meet with various Chelsea stakeholders and supporter groups this week, which would suggest he feels confident that he still has a chance to buy the club.
