The Athletic’s Chelsea correspondent Simon Johnson noted that Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss, a key part of the funding of Boehly’s bid, is in the American’s box at the Bridge today.
Wyss has never claimed to be interested in the footballing side of the purchase – this could be his first visit to the Bridge for all we know – but like any smart businessman he wants to see what he’s about to pay for.
