Mason Mount and Antonio Rudiger did the post-match interview yesterday after Chelsea’s win over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi final, and they were grinning throughout.
The pair did get serious for one thing though – saying that they remembered how their EFL Cup final against Liverpool earlier this year went, and how they want to “put right” the pain of a defeat on penalties in a game they had probably deserved to win.
That, combined with memories of two recent defeats in the final, should be all the motivation they need.
