Finally, a bit of good news today in the ownership situation at Chelsea Football Club.
It’s been unclear really just how long it will take until we have the new owners in place and we can start moving on and operating normally as a club again.

This week sees the deadline for final offers to come in from the four shortlisted bidders on Thursday, but then we expected further delays for the UK Government to do their checks and allow the sale to go through.
But according to The Independent today, the Government is prepared to usher through Chelsea’s sale to any of the four shortlisted bidders. Downing Street chiefs are thought to be satisfied in principle with the remaining Chelsea bidders.
This is great news and will speed up the process and transition once the new owners have been decided. We just need to hope that part of the process goes through quick now as well.
