As if the race to buy Chelsea couldn’t get any more dramatic, two massive stars of sport join one of the groups to buy the club.
At least, we are only just hearing about it now anyway. The chances are, both Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams have been part of Sir Martin Broughton’s bid to buy Chelsea for some time, but it had just been kept away from the public eye.
Sources: Chelsea still in touch with agents as Jules Kounde move stays on the cards.
For whatever reason, it has now been leaked to the press and the report came out from Sky News today that they had joined Broughton’s bid, both putting in £10m each.
That didn’t seem like much at all in the grand scheme of things and the reaction was it was being laughed at by Chelsea fans.

However, a Spokesperson for Hamilton claims that Sky’s report on this is true, but not the figures on the money that will be invested by him and Williams.
Spokesperson for Lewis Hamilton: "We can confirm that Lewis has joined the Sir Martin Broughton bid, however the financial figure reported in the Sky article isn’t accurate." https://t.co/CbDIV07Q2X
