Jorginho set for Chelsea departure with no new contract on the horizon

The future of Chelsea’s midfield is the subject of a piece on 90min today, and the writer Graeme Bailey has some interesting new insight on what the Blues are looking to do.

He claims that Jorginho will not be offered a new contract, and instead the club will look to sell the Italy international back to Serie A.

Jorginho will have just one year left on his deal come this summer, and it seems like the Blues have decided to move on without him. He has long flirted with a return to the country where he made his name, and it now looks like he will get the chance at last.

Chelsea will look to replace him, either with a returning loanee like Conor Gallagher, or a summer signing, depending on what Thomas Tuchel and the rest of the guys upstairs at the club think is the way to go.
