Chelsea were the team being linked with Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni most regularly until recently, when things have really died away.
The explanation is of course that the Blues have been hit by an ownership battle which is preventing the club from making any transfer moves at all.
This has clearly strengthened other teams’ chances, as you can tell from the Spanish media, where Real Madrid are suddenly being linked with Tchouameni constantly.
This Marca piece from today for example says that it’s a battle between PSG and Madrid now, with Chelsea just mentioned as an aside, as a team who are no longer in the race thanks to their off field issues.
We would love to swoop back in with new owners and make them regret writing us off. But it looks like things will have to move very quickly with our future if we want that to happen this summer.
