Whenever Chelsea face Man City, the manager is always asked about the “gap” between the two clubs, which seemed impossible large a few years ago but has since closed rapidly after the arrival of some top young players into the squad and Thomas Tuchel’s hiring.
The Chelsea boss was asked today how his team can close the gap on the perennial champions, and he was clear that he and his squad are on the way, but can only get closed “day in, day out,” by working hard. Tomorrow will be an interesting measuring stick of how big the gap is now.
