We said we wanted an early goal to make things easy for Chelsea, and we’ve got one.
It came directly from the away team’s best chance. They threw men forward and tried a ball to the far past, but debutant Lewis Hall was there to snap the ball up and sweep it forward.
Mateo Kovacic took over with a superb run from midfield, he slipped it through to Hakim Ziyech whose shot was saved by the Chesterfield keeper, but fell to Timo Werner to finish from a couple of yards out.
