(Video): Big brain Kepa catches Kane out with instinctive offside trap

There was an interesting moment last night where Kepa Arrizabalaga raced from his goal and Spurs were able to score, only to find their goal ruled out for offside.

Unusually, Kepa had stepped out so far that there were now two defenders between him and the goal – but only one between Harry Kane and the net. That meant that when Kane scored, it was Kepa playing him offside.

Now we don’t want to give him too much credit, because a) it was his own mistake that lead to the dangerous situation and b) because he was already on the edge of his box, and retreating would have been the worst idea in any case.

But still, it worked, and he ended the game with a clean sheet.
