Telegraph: Chelsea hold strong interest in signing Declan Rice

The rumour that has never died down now for about two or three seasons, Chelsea’s interest in signing Declan Rice.

The England international who was released by Chelsea as a youth player ironically, is now wanted back by the club.

Chelsea join Manchester City in having a strong interest in signing the West Ham midfielder, as reported by The Telegraph today.

This is nothing new as I say, Chelsea have been wanting to re-sign Rice for some time now but The Hammers have been pricing him out of a move.

They could try and sign him again in the summer should the club agree to release the fees, but it might be wiser to wait for his contract to run down a little more. Then you run the risk of losing out to a club like City, who could also decide to make their move this summer.

Either way, it’s going to be a battle.
