As we head into the middle of January, it would appear that Chelsea are still no closer to replacing the injured Ben Chilwell.
The England international is out for the rest of the season at least, and Chelsea only have one natural left sided wing back in the squad going forward.
Emerson Palmieri is the one being most talked about as being the cover for Chilwell, but the problem is he is on loan with Lyon who happen to have an option to buy him in the summer, making any recall quite difficult to do.
Today I spoke with proven reliable insider The Secret Scout in an exclusive for my website, Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, and the left wing back area was a topic of conversation amongst a whole host of other great information.
TSS says that Emerson is still Chelsea’s main target and he expects that to get done.
