“Decision to be made soon” – But Andreas Christensen not going to move to English club

For most of this season, we’ve been in the camp that believes that while Antonio Rudiger is going to leave on a free, Andreas Christensen is going sign a new deal to stay at Chelsea.

Now, unfortunately, it looks like both will go. The more details that come out about Christensen’s demands, the more convinced we are that he’s going.

The latest come from Fabrizio Romano, who is reliable and well connected. He says that Christensen will not consider proposals from English teams out of respect for Chelsea.

He adds that the decisions is “to be made soon,” and we really hope that’s true. Both Christensen and Rudiger have been keeping the club and fans in suspense for a year now, and it’s time for some clarity.

As much as it’s nice for the Denmark international to say he won’t go to a Premier League rival, it would be more useful if he would just tell us whether he intends to stay.
