Chelsea’s statistical Man of the Match vs. Tottenham

Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge tonight with a strong performance, especially in the first half where they blew away Antonio Conte’s team.

WhoScored gave good ratings all round in their score out of ten which takes into account all of a players statistical data into account to give a number.

Marcos Alonso was the highest rated player in the game with a 7.8. He set the tone for the whole game just a couple of minutes in when he surged from deep to cut out a sloppy pass in the back four, before playing the ball in behind to Kai Havertz who forced it in off a defender.

The Spaniard continued to be a threat all game and kept Spurs’ dangerous attackers quiet. The left back situation has forced him into action so much in recent weeks, let’s hope he can take a break when the team play Chesterfield this weekend. There’s a second leg against Spurs to win, and then a league match with Man City.
