Chelsea face Zenit St Petersburg at the Gazprom Arena in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
Chelsea have put out a pretty crazy team as they look to win the group – but more importantly look to get some minutes into the legs of players coming back from injury.
Kepa plays in goal, Malang Sarr, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta play as the three centre backs. Up top, Romelu Lukaku is flanked by Timo Werner and Mason Mount.
Then it gets weird.
The middle 4 has Saul Niguez at left wing back, Ross Barkley and Reece James in central midfield, and Callum Hudson-Odoi at right wing back.
It’s all about getting some of these guys fit, and more importantly protecting some of the really burned out starters. We expect Thomas Tuchel to use all his 5 changes tonight, especially if the game goes well.
