Thomas Tuchel was asked in his press conference about his team’s punishing fixture list and the whether it was hard to cope with.
He rather turned the question around and pointed out how it’s a good thing, at least in terms of a less important game like the one tomorrow.
He said in fact he and his staff “wished for” games like this as it allows them to rotate in some of the fringe players, giving them minutes and confidence so that they’re more prepared when they’re called into first team action due to injuries.
