Saul Niguez has started two Chelsea games in the Premier League and been taken off at half time in both.
That’s a pretty dire start for any player, and Thomas Tuchel had to address the situation once again in his press conference today.
He insisted it was because the Spaniard was on a yellow card from early in the game, making him “shy” in duels in a game where Chelsea desperately needed to be more bold.
He actually praised Saul’s decision to not get too stuck in and risk a red card.
