Thomas Tuchel describes two of his players that ‘have a good connection’

To be in a successful football team you need to be able to build relations and natural connections all over the pitch, and that is what Thomas Tuchel has been hoping from his players this season as they all get much more used to playing together.

You can already see in moments on the pitch that many of his players are starting to get this with their team mates.

But two of his players that Tuchel believes have had this good natural connection all along is Jorginho and Thiago Silva, who both speak Portuguese of course, which would have helped.

But Tuchel has been speaking to the 5th Stand App and says the pair are on the same wave length and work well together moving the ball out from the back and in the build-up play.

“They have a good connection, the two of them,” Tuchel said to the app.

“They understand each other very well, not only from the language of course, they speak Portuguese and Jorgi is Brazilian like this helps but also an understanding in the build-up play, they assist each other when they turn in certain spaces.

“They are very good together and it is about connections, not only offensive but also defensive connections that also the guys trust each other, and I think those two are a good pair.”

Let’s hope we can start seeing similar connections grow at the other end of the pitch now as well.
