Frank Lampard’s long interview with Gary Neville on the Overlap was really interesting, and had plenty of good content on all fronts.
It was particularly interesting to hear him talk about the Champions League win that came after he left the team in January. It must have been odd, and Lampard admits it, but ultimately he was happy to see the group that he brought together do well.

He also notes that Thiago Silva sent him a “beautiful message” after the win, thanking Lampard for taking him to the club.
Given everything we know about Silva, that doesn’t surprise us. He’s a class act on the field, off the field, and as a true role model for pretty much any human being out there, this is something we would have expected from him. We’re sure he wasn’t the only one by the way – just the one example that Lampard happened to pick out.
