Lukaku and Havertz start, Hudson-Odoi at wing back: Chelsea’s predicted Xl vs West Ham

Chelsea being injury-hit and fatigued perhaps makes this the toughest ever team to predict for our match at West Ham tomorrow.

Thomas Tuchel will probably do his best to reveal team news and fitness conditions for his squad in his press conference later on. However, I am sure there will be quite a few late fitness tests to really see if certain players can play.

The Hammers have gone fairly inconsistent of late, but this will be a very tough match for The Blues.

I am assuming that N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, and of course Ben Chilwell are all out injured, and we still have some fatigue issues for others.

But here is my predicted Xl:

(3-4-3): Mendy, Christensen, Silva, Rudiger: Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso: Mount, Lukaku, Havertz.

I believe we lacked a real threat from our wing backs on Wednesday night, so with that and the fact Azpilicueta played 90, I feel either Hudson-Odoi or Christian Pulisic will come in at wing back on the right, with Alonso probably keeping his place.

Jorginho was not fully fit for Wednesday, but I’m hopeful he will be for tomorrow. Kai Havertz and Mason Mount were good on Wednesday so have to start, and surely it’s time for Romelu Lukaku from the start?
