Thomas Tuchel certainly seems to have his handful of players who he relies on and trusts a lot, certain players who will always be one of the first names on his starting team sheet.
One of them is undoubtedly experienced centre back, Thiago Silva, who is only ever dropped for fatigue or injury reasons.

He’s been fantastic since arriving at the club as a free agent last summer after being at PSG, wh0 he was ironically playing under Tuchel for a spell.
But the now Blues boss is enjoying managing Silva once again and believes he was brave to make this step into a new league at this stage of his career, but he says he made the best decision and he is in a ‘fantastic place’ right now, via the club’s 5th Stand App over night.
“I think he is in a fantastic place of his career right now,” Tuchel told the app whilst smiling.
“I am very impressed that he did this step so late in his career and go to uncertainty and challenge him so hard on this physical and mental challenge level in the Premier League.
“Very impressive, how he is playing and how calm he is winning balls and duals and build-up play. He has a lot of confidence and experience on the highest levels. He’s a fantastic player and a fantastic person.”
The highest possible praise there from the boss and it’s fully deserved.
