What is it about Watford?
The go-to “terrible Chelsea individual performance” of the last few years was Tiemoue Bakayoko’s awful showing against the Hornets in Antonio Conte’s doomed second season.
Now it’s Saul Niguez’ turn. The Spaniard is having an absolute shocker, along with a few other players in this team. We would be very surprised to see him in the second half, but then again with the squad stretched so thin, Thomas Tuchel has very few options to replace him with.
The fan on Twitter who called him “completely lost” was spot on. The Atletico loanee might be the first player to be subbed at half time in two of his first 5 league games for a club.
Major changes are needed, and it will be fascinating to see what Tuchel does to fix things. This is where a manager really earns their wage.
