Callum Hudson-Odoi likely to be needed at wing back sooner rather than later as Tuchel’s squad is stretched to the max

With so many players injured or exhausted, it’s becoming increasingly hard to guess what team Thomas Tuchel will put out for Chelsea’s next game.

Last night’s match against Watford saw 6 changes, and we would expect a similar amount for Saturday’s fixture, which is an early kick off just to make things even more challenging.

Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger should all play at the back, although Rudiger will need a break at some point soon.

Assuming Reece James is still out, that will mean Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta at wing back again – unless Azpi plays at centre back to rest Rudiger, with perhaps Callum Hudson-Odoi at right wing back.

In midfield, will probably see Ruben Loftus-Cheek with either N’Golo Kante or Jorginho, whoever is fitter.

Romelu Lukaku should finally be fit to start up top, then Mason Mount has the freshness to play down one side. On the other, Callum Hudson-Odoi will play unless he’s employed at wing back. After resting from the start then coming on to score, Hakim Ziyech looks favourite to start on that other side.
