We’re creeping towards January now, and it’s easy to forget that Edouard Mendy will soon be leaving us to play in the Africa Cup of Nations.
That will be a huge blow to our defence, and Kepa Arrizabalaga has his work cur out replacing his colleague for those weeks.
At least the Basque is looking sharp in training though, rattling off some fine saves in a recent session. If he plays like that when he’s in the team, we might be fine after all.
