Chelsea are in a bit of a sticky situation at centre back, as it stands.

SportWitness have today translated positive reports from Brazil on Silva’s situation. The former PSG man has been linked with a return to his home country, but according to O Dia, he may consider waiting another year at Chelsea before making the return.
That’s because he wants to maximise his chances of playing in the World Cup in a year’s time, and being based in Europe will boost his chances hugely.
Let’s hope these reports are right, and we can start getting some of these defenders locked in for another year at least.
