“They should have helped more” – Jody Morris gives his verdict on Chelsea’s senior players during his management

It’s coming up to almost a full year now since Frank Lampard and Jody Morris got sacked as Chelsea’s head coach and assistant head coach.

It was a turmoil time at the club and they made a decision to make the change, and of course the rest is history now with Thomas Tuchel coming in, leading Chelsea to Champions League glory, and now sitting comfortably on top of the Premier League table as things stand.

Lampard and Morris will always hold a special place in most Chelsea fans hearts, and there clearly wasn’t something right at the time of their sacking.

Morris believes that some of the senior players were unhappy at not getting picked as much as they wanted to, and he feels that some of them could have done more to help the younger players, as he reveals on the Off the Hook Podcast today.

As seen in these quotes…
