Ross Barkley has 3 convincing options on the table for January move

Ross Barkley has done really well to force himself into Thomas Tuchel’s plans in recent weeks, and he’s played more in the last month than he might have expected.

Still, for a player in his prime he’s still way too far down the pecking order, and it’s no surprise to see links with January moves to other Premier League clubs.

The Sun are the latest paper to report on the idea he could go in the winter window, and they name three quite convincing potential destinations.

Leeds, Newcastle and Burnley are all struggling to an extent this season, and all could do with an injection of fresh legs and fresh ideas to their midfield.

Barkley would be a great choice, and it’s easy to see how he might fit into Marcelo Bielsa’s depleted central midfield area at Elland Road – or even to the new look team Eddie Howe is being asked to build at St James’ Park.
