“He got so many players over the line” – Jody Morris details the reason Chelsea made many big signings

Chelsea have gone through what can be called an interesting few seasons at the club.

First there was Maurizio Sarri being sacked, the transfer ban, Frank Lampard taking the reigns as manager, him getting sacked last January, and now Thomas Tuchel leading the club the Champions League glory.

Whatever your views are on the last few seasons at Chelsea, one thing for sure is that nobody can doubt the pull power of Frank Lampard, regardless of what you might think of his coaching.

He was the reason many of Chelsea’s current players signed on for the team, especially the likes of Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell, according to former assistant manager Jody Morris, who has been speaking on the Off the Hook Podcast.

The former Chelsea midfielder says that Lampard was the one who got many of these deals over the line, with players having other offers elsewhere, especially Chilwell.
