The Metro has translated reports from Spain which claim that Christian Pulisic is a target for Barcelona, and that Chelsea would be willing to let him go for £42m.
But somehow we doubt selling the winger is really top of Chelsea’s list of considerations right now, and certainly not at a knock-down price.
It all sounds rather hopeful from the Catalan point of view.
He played an important role for Chelsea last night after his return from injury, as a false 9.
He can of course play his natural position on the wing, and there have even been suggestions that he might play as a backup left wing back with Ben Chilwell looking like he is going to be out for a long time and Marcos Alonso now set to be first choice.
We wouldn’t want to see Pulisic there every week, but as a relief option to Alonso, we could do worse.
