Billy Gilmour saves his season with another impressive performance

Billy Gilmour made his second consecutive start for Norwich on Saturday as the Canaries battled to a hard fought draw with in-form Wolves.

According to some (although not according to the Premier League site or the Norwich fan vote) he was man of the match too. He had won it the previous week, that much is certain.

Regardless, his two good showings have all but guaranteed his place in new manager Dean Smith’s plans for the rest of the season. It would be harsh to say we were happy to see previous boss Daniel Farke lose his job, but there’s no denying it’s made a huge difference to Gilmour’s season.

He now looks like he will rack up a lot of starts and pick up the experience we were hoping for, even if the East Anglians go down. For Chelsea fans, that’s a huge relief, and we can’t wait to see how he develops between now and May.
