Usually we spend the international break celebrating whenever a Chelsea player doesn’t play for their country, but this is an annoying one.
Armando Broja hasn’t been starting regularly on his loan to Southampton, so tonight would have been a good chance for him to get some minutes.
Not only that, but he would have got to take on some of his mates who play for England.
Sadly, it’s now been confirmed that Broja isn’t in the squad to face the Three Lions tonight, thanks to a muscle injury.

Let’s hope it doesn’t set back his progress at Southampton. The Saints won this weekend with a front two of Che Adams and Adam Armstrong, and it looks like it’s going to be tough for Broja to break up that combination.
Still, the advantage of them moving to a two striker system regularly is that he now should get twice the chances to play, rather than being third choice in a one striker system.
