Watching Ruben Loftus-Cheek rise to top form once again so far this season has been beautiful.
The Blues academy graduate has had a real up and down career so far in football. In 2018 he was on top of the world playing regularly for Chelsea and for England, even bossing it in midfield for them during the 2018 World Cup campaign.

But then he was hit with a serious Achilles injury that put him out of football for the biggest part of a year and he really struggled to find the form and confidence that he was showing before hand.
Now, he has had a superb pre-season under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, and he looks to be already trusted by the German coach.
But Tuchel already knew what Loftus-Cheek could do, he was a firm admirer of his talent and he told him just that in the first couple of weeks of pre-season, according to a report from The Athletic.
They claim that even though they’d worked together for just a few days, the German decided to make it clear to Loftus-Cheek that he liked what he was seeing.
An insider told The Athletic: “Ruben walked across and Tuchel said something along the lines of, ‘You are special. I cannot believe you haven’t played more for Chelsea’. It was a great thing for him to hear.”
