It’s easy to forget that Trevoh Chalobah started the season looking like he was going to be used mainly as a training ground dummy.
Instead he’s ended up playing a lot – and playing very well.
He has Thomas Tuchel’s full trust now, and it’s easy to see why. There was one moment in the game today, as Chelsea were fully besieged, when Brentford finally managed to get the ball round Edouard Mendy.
Who was there on the line to clear the ball? Trevoh.
That’s the kind of commitment you need in games like this.
