Chelsea were lucky to win against Brentford, with the Blues relying on their defence to get the job done.
One player who did do well however was Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and after the game Thomas Tuchel explained why he’d trusted the midfielder to carry on where he left off against Southampton before the international break.
“He is in a very strong moment,” noted Tuchel explaining that he didn’t want to disrupt the good form the academy product had been showing in recent weeks.
