Unbelievable stat shows how Chelsea spread the goals around

Chelsea lost two strikers to injury earlier this week, so there were understandably fears about whether they would score enough goals in the next month or so.

They responded as well as they possibly could have done though – scoring 4 without their forwards against Malmo on Tuesday, and then SEVEN yesterday against Norwich.

Even better for a team without strikers, is the spread of goals around the team.

After Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi found the net at the weekend, the Blues had now had SEVENTEEN different scorers in the league – that’s every single outfield first team player. No squad in Europe can match those numbers.

Even Andreas Christensen has one – after a 137 game wait.

If there was ever a team that could manage losing its two biggest attacking weapons, it’s this one. That doesn’t mean things will be as easy as they were yesterday, but there are enough goals in this team to keep us going until Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are fit again.
