Thomas Tuchel is taking his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game against Norwich tomorrow, and the Blues boss had some bad injury news for the game.
He confirmed that Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, who picked up injuries against Malmo on Wednesday night, would be out for the game tomorrow and for further games.
He also added Christian Pulisic to the list of Blues who wouldn’t be fit to start, despite the US star not having been mentioned in the initial question.
The question now is how Chelsea react to these absences. There may well be a change of formation required, and certainly some of Tuchel’s team will be forced to play out of position in the weeks to come.
The good news is that there are backups keen to join in and make their mark – CHO and RLC will be hoping this is the period where they can really prove their worth to the new boss.
