Ruben Loftus-Cheek guaranteed to be in the mix for Chelsea going forward

Thomas Tuchel picked Ruben Loftus-Cheek a few weeks ago to give the side a spark after some poor performances.

He did well, and because he didn’t go on international duty, he was the freshest of the midfield options going into yesterday’s game against Brentford.

In a game where the team struggled, RLC looked good once again.

Given how things have gone, it seems highly probable that that guarantees him a start in one of Chelsea’s two games this week.

It seems possible that Tuchel restores Jorginho to the side to face Malmo, as he continues to try and find a winning formula, but if he does that, Ruben could step back in for the Premier League game at the weekend.

He brings a physicality which Tuchel seems to like in the deeper midfield area, and an early kick off against struggling Norwich looks like the perfect time to unleash him.
